Introduction
Christians in the first century A.D. found
themselves facing similar circumstances
1 immorality was rampant, moral virtue was
scarce
2 Religions were many yet ineffective in saving
the sanctifving souls .
Paul in this letter to the churches he
addressed some concerns
1 Dealing with false gospels and false hopes
2. Providing guidance for salvation
and godly living .
Geography :
It was used to describe the northern
part of central Asia minor .Politically , It included pars of Pontus,Phrygia
and Lycaoniamore southern regions of central Asia Minor
Because of his outstanding dense of
the gospel of Christ in which we have freedom from the sin the Law, this
epistle has been called ‘The Magna Carta of Christin Liberty ‘
May we never forget that all the verses in the bible from the smallest to the biggest are all wonderful. I have merely quoted a few verses from the book.Never underestimating the power of the rest of the verse of this wonderful letter of Paul. or of this Book in its entirety but just mentioning a few ,for us to Glance upon and evaluate ourselves
A few verses per Chapter 7 to 13
Gal 1:8 But though we, or
an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have
preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb,
and called me by his grace,
Gal 1:19 But other of the apostles
saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but
by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we
might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for
by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the
faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness.
Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the
children of Abraham.
Gal 3:8 And the scripture,
foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before
the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be
blessed.
Gal 3:9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham
Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by
faith.
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ
Jesus.
Gal 4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a
child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
Gal 4:2 But is under tutors and
governors until the time appointed of the father.
Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were
children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his
Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal
4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath
sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of
God through Christ.
Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of
God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire
again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until
Christ be formed in you,
Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made
us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Gal 5:5 For we through the
Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor
uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in
the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against
the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do
the things that ye would.
Gal
5:19 Now the works of the flesh are
manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal
5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell
you before, as I have also told you in
time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of
God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal
5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such
there is no law.
Gal
5:24 And they that are Christ's have
crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the
Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another,
envying one another.
Gal
6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a
fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness;
considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2 Bear ye one another's
burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Gal 6:3 For if a man think himself to be
something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself
Gal 6:4 But let every man prove
his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in
another.
Gal 6:5 For every man shall bear
his own burden.
Gal 6:6 Let him that is taught
in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory,
save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto
me, and I unto the world. .
